Niall Stanage is a staff writer at The Hill, the political newspaper in Washington, D.C.
He is also the author of the 2008 bestseller Redemption Song: An Irish Reporter Inside the Obama Campaign (Liberties Press, Dublin). An updated edition of Redemption Song, subtitled Barack Obama — From Hope To Reality, was published in 2009.
A native of Belfast, Niall has lived and worked in the U.S. since 2003. He has written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Salon, The Daily Beast and The New York Observer in addition to several national newspapers in Ireland and Britain.
Niall is a former editor of Magill magazine, and a frequent contributor to TV and radio shows on both sides of the Atlantic, including broadcasters like PBS, Fox News, the BBC and its Irish equivalent, RTE.
Having lived in New York for more than seven years, he re-located to Washington in May 2011.
